Extensions of Brink matching conditions
The calculations can be extended
to multinucleon and multi-step transfer
W.N. Catford, Nucl. Phys. A503(1989)263
(probably not so useful for RNB’s)
These diagrams also show the sense
of the transfer trajectory that is usually
favoured in well-matched transfers at
negative Q-value (favouring high ? ’s)
Assuming that the spin does not flip
during the transfer, then the transfer is
from j = j > = j + ½ orbitals
to j = j < = j – ½ orbitals
and vice versa (from j < to j > orbits)
