Catkin is simply an Excel spreadsheet, so there is essentially no installation at all, but please use the proper icon for shortcuts.
copy the files catkin2.03(Excel) and kin-icon3 (icon file) to a folder called kinematics that should be created in the My Documents folder on the C: drive.
Shortcuts can be created in various ways, e.g. by highlighting a
file (or right-clicking) and clicking File>CreateShortcut. I
suggest that you firstly arrange things so that you have a
shortcut for catkin on
your desktop. The correct icon can then be associated
by highlighting the shortcut (right-clicking) and getting to the
ChangeIcon option, and browsing back to the kinematics
folder for the icon. You should now be the proud owner of a
properly labelled shortcut to the spreadsheet, straight from your
desktop. You can also add this to the "start" menu for easier
access.
Good luck!
