A Unifying Framework for Mutual Information MEthods for use in
Non-linear Optimisation.

N Dowson and R Bowden

This directory holds the binaries and scripts for tests performed when
writing the paper of the above title.

There are 3 binaries:
* mexMImsr - for measuring a the similarity between a warped template
and an image using either Sum of squared differences,
Normalised Correlation or Mutaual Information (std/pve/ipz).
* mexMIopt - Tries to find the warp that minimises (or maximises) the
above functions for the given reference and template image
             pair.
* mexMIx - Extracts a warped region from and image.

Some of these scripts are a little hard to understand.

To figure out how to use mexMImsr and mexMIopt, just type them in at
the commandline and an explanatory error message will appear.

I'm not bothering to document this stuff properly because the binaries
are old versions of what we're using now, and I'd much rather you used
the newer binaries.
