	The publishers of this book have kindly made the program examples available on the Internet. They may be obtained by anonymous FTP from `ftp.mcp.com` as a zipfile, `/pub/sams/books/TYC/tyc.zip`. The programs are actually intended for a PC. If you really need the zipfile, download now.

To run a program:

Click on the link to load the source code into the browser.
Study the code to see what the program is meant to do.
Select and copy all the text.
Open an editor window and paste the text into it.
Save the file under an appropriate name (e.g. myfile.c)
Compile and run the program in the normal way:
- On the Unix command line, enter cc myfile.c or gcc myfile.c to compile the program.
- Assuming no errors, enter a.out to run it.

Note: the following was generated automatically by a C program. This program works its way through the directory, looking for *.c files, sorts them alphabetically by filename, and extracts any leading comments. It then generates the appropriate HTML. Just one practical use for C!
